Planted in 1971 to disguise a secret passage to the Shrieking Shack, the Whomping Willow is now a dangerous addition to the Hogwarts grounds. It lashes out at anyone who comes close. Only the marauders know that pressing a small notch at the tree's base calms the ferocious plant.

The Forbidden Forest

The Black Lake

The Black Lake is named so because it's dangerous. The giant squid has made its home here so it's best not to go for a swim. The lake is gorgeously illuminated by the sun rise in the morning and sparkles underneath the stars at night.
